When the clips for the curtain rail in my house failed, I looked online and couldn't find any replacements. So, I decided to quickly design a new one for 3D printing with some reinforcement around the areas where the old one failed. I am happy to say the clips have been in use for over 3 years with daily use without failure. I hope this file saves you some time and headache trying to find a replacement. If you need the original design file, just inbox me, and I'll be happy to help.
Print Details:
- Print Material: I have printed and used this model in PLA filament and it has worked perfectly for over 3 years without needing replacement, but other filaments like PETG or ABS can also be used for added strength and durability.
- Layer Height: 0.2mm
- Top and bottom Layers: 4.
- Walls: For added strength use 4 or 5 walls.
- Infill : A recommended infill percentage of 20-30% provides a good balance of strength and material usage. However, you can adjust the infill to suit your specific requirements.
Important Note:
- Before mounting your curtain rail or rack using the 3d printed Clip, make sure you use appropriate screws and washers suitable for the material and load-bearing capacity of your ceiling.
