Description

I created this Sink / Tub Strainer for 40 mm (1.5 inch) drains to prevent large objects (like screws) from going down the drain in my utility room sink. Before long, I realized that it was also the perfect addition to my bathroom tub.

This sink / tub strainer has been designed for easy use - simply drop it into the drain and lift it out when ready to clean out whatever it has collected. Eight channels on the bottom of the flange prevent puddling by providing a path for ALL the water to drain!

The provided STL file is intended to be printed in PETG and should be printed with supports.

A PrusaSlicer 3MF file using organic (tree) supports is provided for generic PETG, and a G-code file is provided for the Original Prusa MK4.

The sink / tub strainers seen in the photos were printed on an Original Prusa MK4 in generic green / white PETG with a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.3mm layer height with a 15% gyroid infill and organic (tree) supports.

Thank you, this was just what I needed after staring at a bare PVC pipe in my rental shower for months. Used PLA because it was on the AMS :-). I've added a print profile that should work for PLA and PETG (provided you print with Bambu Handy).
