Description

I really liked the leg design and modularity of Rup_Made's Rack for Gridfinity box 4x4, so I just had to copy them for a rack for mystoopidstuff's excellent Box For Stuff at https://makerworld.com/en/models/159840. This is for the 20-bin version.

Unfortunately, I had to split this in half to accommodate my 256x256x256 print volume. To start with, you need to print all four plates and piece them together. Additional layers, just print plates 1 and 2. Use an M3x10 SHCS at each leg to hold it all together.

I've designed this to be as light as possible on the filament but strong enough to hold several stacked bins.

The pieces snap together perfectly using my P1S with PLA basic, so YMMV with other filament. Regardless, I put a drop of CA glue at the seam of each dovetail and at the two midpoints between them for that extra bit of security.

This is a great design, and the parts go together perfectly! I used a small dab of superglue on each level and the whole unit is rock solid. I could probably add another four levels without any issue (and may do that). I noticed that flipping the bottom level gains almost enough space that I think I may be able to fit a 9U case in there (not sure though). The 16Bin cases also fit, with some room to spare. I think a remix to fit 12U cases would be a cool addition to this design, since I have a couple of those around I'd like to store. You can see in the pics that the cases I have loaded mostly don't appear to have a purpose yet, which is due to them mostly being my prototypes for testing. The 4th from the bottom is the new 20Bin BFS design, with some internal updates, and will hopefully get posted soon. Also for some reason I cannot rate this design, but it would get ***** if I could.

Looks great! Thanks for the review. It really is frustrating how strict they are with ratings. I've run into a few perfect prints lately where it won't let me rate them.

Thanks, I have not been able to rate any prints, but I suspect it may be related to running my printer in LAN mode.

Yeah, that's exactly why. It needs to report a successful print to the mother ship before it'll let you rate.

Great remix, I'm gonna print some more when my printer is less busy. I found that if the base if flipped it will hold a 9U Case as well.
