Description

I tried many different guide models, without success. Always had issues, whatever the filament used (tried PETG, PC, ABS, ASA, PA….)

I found that models are always over engineered for nothing, difficult to print, weak…

I went with another approach, a lot simpler, simpler to print, simpler to install, no tools required, easy to remove, and finally that does his job (to prevent PTFE to to run against the top glass).

Available in different sizes (30 to 60 mm radius, by 5mm increment) for stock printer or with riser.

Without a riser, the 35mm radius version works great.

Enjoy!

Very easy to add, PTFE does not seem to be touching the top (35mm).

The 35mm guide works well. The tube was a very tight fit but eventually passed through.

35mm radius. Is there anything to protect the tube entrance to protect from abrasive materials?. Thanks.

This is the 60mm radius one. Though I should probably print one of the smaller ones because this one kept rubbing on the front of the frame when it's doing the flow calibration.

Great! I love simple and effective designs. Would be the 30 mm radius, the standard for the stock printer?

hi, thank you! I didn't try with the default top glass, I have a riser, but I think 30 or 35 should fit. Let us know!

I had to remix it, because it was too tight to insert the PTFE tube through the guide, but I'm having success with the 35 mm radius version.

that's weird, which ptfe do you use ? the default one ? Don't spend time to remix it, I made a parametric model, I can change a single value to regenerate all the models (currently it's 4.2mm)

hi, I printed in petg, works great. PLA may be a little soft whith chamber temperature, you can give a try, I'd go at least with a PLA+, but petg, abs, asa... is a safer choice imo
