Description

My remix xtouch enclosure for Bambu Lab P1P &P1S includes an optimized micro SD Card slot and pen holder.

A simple enclosure for the xtouch P1P/S interface by xperiments: https://github.com/xperiments-in/xtouch

This version houses the ESP32 touch screen in a way that replaces the standard printer controls, but swivels up out of the way to reveal them when needed. You get the appearance of a single touch screen, without losing access to the original control panel.

Hardware:

The required ESP32 touch screen is linked on the xtouch GitHub readme.

A USB-A to USB-B micro cable approxmately 200mm in length is ideal.

6 x M3 x 12mm countersunk bolts for attaching the rear to the front pieces.

2 x M3 x 12mm bolts for attaching the enclosure to the adaptor.

1x 2.8-inch ESP32-2432S028R board (ESP32-2432S028R or ESP32-2432S028R)

1x micro sd Card

Finally I had the right screws to mount this enclosure. The M3x12 from the local hardwarestore didn't really fit. Now I'm going to fight with the riser for the cables. And then trying to insert the plug in the internal USB connector.

You use the wrong screws, please use m3x12 DIN 7991. 😉

very nice ! Didn't have counter sink screws so used the classic ones and it still fits. Had to use M3x16 for the hinge, the 12 ones didnt reach the nuts. I was a bit worried the support pressed on the pause and return buttons but it doesn't seem to matter.

A little tight for trying to get the temperature sensor cables in, but otherwise excellent.

Tolerances were a bit tight for trying to also get in the temperature sensor plug, but overall it's a great model!
