Tip: For best surface results your first layer should be printed in the same direction of the needles or tilted by 90 degrees to the needles (this is what I did).

Sehr nützlich, vielen Dank. Ich habe gleich zwei davon gemacht. Vermutlich wären drei Layer an den schmalen Seiten besser, da es sich beim Auf- und Zumachen schon sehr biegt.

One part of the model starts at layer 2. I cut the model into two halves and was then able to lay one side flat on the printing plate.

That is interesting, I didn't had that problem but I am using PrusaSlicer, maybe that's the reason.
