A simpler mounting system for the Tapo line of IP cameras. Does not require any disassembly unlike my other design, but is more chunky as a result. Requires the removal of the stem to fit.
Requirements
- The standard and angled mount requires 4x M4x4mm heat set inserts. The magnet interface takes 8x 5x3mm round magnets. Use the included STEP file to edit to your preference.
- Cut off the stem flush with the housing. The fastest way is to use a hot knife, or even just a penknife heated with a lighter.
Assembly/Print
- Push the camera lens first into the mount. The angled one might require a little persuasion but it will fit. To remove simply push out from the lens side.
- Add a pause for the last 0.4mm of your print to insert the magnets. No glue required, as magnets did not get attracted by the nozzle.
