Description

Designed by Popandsicle

I was asked to share the print profile I used to print my master sword so here it is.

I've included both the standard and the ‘adhesion assisted’ versions of the models provided in the original design.

I printed a few things with standard models but ultimately ended up going with the adhesion assisted for the remainder of parts.

The adhesion assisted parts have built-in brim that will need to be removed.

Make sure to read the instructions.

My Make

I have the filament calibrated carefully so this sword could friction fit together with no glue. Only the two gold pins needed a little bit of height shaved off to fit correctly. If you want to recreate my exact print with the same filament I've already calibrated, I've included 3mf files with my filament profiles embedded. The following are the filaments you'll need:

I'm learning and having fun with this. Feedback letting me know how your print went would be greatly appreciated.

Beautiful Print. Had to tweak a few settings to get a better weight on the total model but WOW is this thing cool! Photo to come

Looking forward to seeing your results! I'm curious what you tweaked. I do wish the handle was heavier and was looking at the model to see if there was somewhere I could hide some nickels or weights to counterbalance the blade.

Not done. Been waiting for my mirror paint to arrive for over three weeks now so I can finish the blades. All hilt/handle, pommel are soft touch cleared. Soft and rubbery to the touch. After dropping and breaking one blade, I started printing in PETG.
