Introduction:

This design allows use of your old iphone with ruined battery as P1S printer display. The stand is locked in place using hole in P1S cover and the phone is charged by the printer using original Apple USB-A cable.

Description:

The stand consists of two parts, the Plug and Stand itself. There are two version of Plug, one will allow more cable overlap (approximately 2mm) and then iphone with protective cover can be used. With second, the cable is flushed with the stand and it is used for naked phone.

After printing try how the plug fits into the stand, layers shoud interlock together but you must be able to disassemble the whole thing (needed when removing top glass of the printer). If the fit is not ideal, make machanical adjustment or scale the plug a bit, but it works for me in PLA.

Installation:

When the fit is ok, insert cable into the plug, slide the plug to the hole from the inside of the printer and push the stand against the plug.

Last but not least, dress the cable in the cavity, the cable must not overhang into the printer otherwise it can be catch by the head.
