I have quite a number of Siddament cardboard spools - due to my filament addiction :) and have tried the skids/adapters that clip around the edge of the spool, but I found these could come off during a print, whether that was with initial feeding, or pulling it back into the AMS. Sometimes this was caused more due to the cardboard maybe being damaged or warped than the skid itself.
Therefore, I decided to create a skid/adapter that would allow it to be used like the skid but was held at the core to prevent the skid/adapter from coming off causing a filament jam in the AMS.
