Description

I liked a lot the "Dyna Dry Box" but I had few constrains:
1. I wanted the silica box to be detachable so I can print it in ASA
2. The detachable box needs more breathable structure or a bit bigger form
3. I needed an option to add different types of humidity sensors
4. I had 688zz bearings (16x8x5), so I want to use this instead of 608zz bearings (22x8x7)
5. My filament roll has diameter of 67mm width

 

So I changed the original by making it modular, there is base, silica box and sensor support.

 

Base, three 7x2mm magnets are required to be inserted in designed locations.


Silica box, I have used three steel M3 nuts, but 6x2mm magnets can be also used.


Sensor support, M3 screws can be used to secure sensor support to base (in my experience it's not needed).
There is a horizontal weak line that can be cut if the print is too tight (in my experience it's not needed)

Note: There is a correct direction to print this, print as loaded or search for triangle where cut line is (triangle needs to be printed point down)

Square sensor

 

Roll, I have 2 roll variants redesigned to accommodate 688zz bearings (16x8x5)
1. It's basically a remake of the original to accommodate 688zz bearings - MAX 65mm
2. It's a more tight a bit longer version to accommodate 67mm wider rolls

Note: use 2nd variant only if you have a wider roll, USE original if you have 608zz bearings

Print suggestions:

I have printed the silica box in ASA, anything else in PLA.

Nozzle size: 0.4

Layer height: 0.2 (sensor supports are printed best with 0.16)
