Description

Metal Gear Solid cardboard box figure

This figure features the iconic Metal Gear Solid game feature of hiding and disguising yourself in a cardboard box.


The fine details on the cardboard box were achieved with a 0.2 mm nozzle.
For the legs, a 0.4 mm nozzle should suffice if you want to shorten the printing time a little.

The assembly is quite simple, fold the cardboard box and glue it together on the lid and top side.
If there are white marks on the folded edges, you can fix them with a jet ligther and quickly go over these edges.

Now put the box over the legs and arrange it as desired.

update: carton box done as well, great print, thank you very much! - legs printed with 0.4 mm nozzle single-color (much faster obviously), painted shoes and kneecaps with a black acrylic marker, the star of the show is the box anyway :) - carton box printed with 0.2 mm nozzle (took about 8h 15m)

This is amazing, unfortunately I only have 0.4 - any chance of us seeing a less detailed model for us 0.4 nozzle poors?

I needed to change the support after a failure but it came out great

Can't close the top of the box because of the angle of the edges against the other edges. not sure if you meant to have them cut at an angle like the rest...
