Description

No more disconnecting tubes and reaching for snips every time you need to change filament.

This was designed for the X-plus 3 and might also work on the X-smart/Max 3. If you have the Smart/Max 3 let me know if it fits (the tight spot is at the front, when homing).

What you need to know:

  • Know your temperature requirements.
  • Thin parts. Use filament with good mechanical properties and high layer adhesion such as PC, PA, etc. PETG, ASA or ABS might be ok, but I haven't tested.
  • I used PC-PBT for my testing.
  • Fully 3d printed, except for the blade
  • Uses an 18mm Olfa style blade. Everybody has one. If you don't, get one. Cuz Olfas are the best. Break off the tip and insert into cutter. Replacement blades are available in every hardware store on earth.
  • Print the pieces using a bit of tree supports, everything snaps together and comes apart without tools.
  • Don't cut yourself
