Description

UPDATE: Version 2 Available here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/440444#profileId-346135 which should be better in all regards

-----------------------------------------

Try some of my other popular models: easy to print fun fidget toys

------------------------------------------

Note: This is version 1.3 of my popular Door holder handle latch”. It's almost identical but it has a longer/deeper insert for the hinge between the handle and the latch for those that found they came apart too easily. (The hinge is incompatible with the original version which is why this is posted as a new model.)

As recommended on the Bambu Wiki You should leave the P1S and X1C door open to prevent heat creep causing clogs when printing PLA etc - but I did not like the way the door swings around during prints as this cannot be good for print quality.

There are some door stops out there, but as they are not always attached I kept losing them, so I designed one that attaches to the door handle without needing any tools, screws or assembly. And as a bonus, it also makes it easier to open the door compared to the standard small handle.

It works well for me - let me know if it works for you :)

Also - check out my matching top glass holder: https://makerworld.com/en/models/413801#profileId-315832

If anyone has an issue with printing it in place, I have uploaded separate models of the handle and latch and also a looser version of the latch which helped some people for whom the fit of the original is too tight. Please do not force it on if it is too tight, print out the looser version, it will only take you 20 minutes :). Or some have printed at 101 or 102% for a comfortable fit.

Sparkling effect is from the buildplate though 😉.

This was my first two part, print in place part, and it worked perfectly. I ended up taking the door handle off to install it (I didn't want to break anything) so it's a nice snug fit. It gets used every day. Thanks

Nice and useful. I printed with PLA and it is a bit tight, so may swap it later, but overall very useful tool!

Works great and looks great but I had to print it 3 times as it was too small to fit the handle. Managed to put it on with a 102% scale.

Had to print the loose version of the handle mount but works great!

This makes me so happy! I needed something to keep the door cracked open without swinging back and forth. This profile resulted in a perfect print.

la qualità è buona ma mi ha graffiato la maniglia originale . Troppo stretto!

I'm sorry about that. please check the instructions that do say not to force it on. there are larger versions in the file and version 2 is a better fit for me handles, and there is also a handle replacement version.

I really wanted to like this, but ergonomically it only leaves 3.5mm for your finger to pull the door open. I ended up leaving it off.

would you like it to stick out to the right more? can easily dig a version that does that.
