Support Issue:I printed this crown like 8 times before it finally went through "good enough". All the previous attempts the parts kept coming loose off the bed. Glue, no glue, added heat to the bed, nothing seemed to make a difference.
On the last attempt I added massive brims and used the strong hybrid supports and even then the very tip (over the nose) part of the main crown had finishing issues. The other parts printed fine but the orientation on the main crown should probably change.
I'm now trying my 4th print. This latest one with 15mm brims, 0.1 gap, tree supports with 15mm brims, turning off reduce infill retractions, 70c textured PEI build plate, etc...
The sides of the crown are so thin and there is very little for them to stay stuck to the build plate as it starts to connect the crown in the middle. I don't know why others aren't reporting the same.
If this doesn't work, I'm going to change the orientation completely because I'm out of ideas.
This time I watched the print fail and it was the actual center V that kept catching on the nozzle and eventually dislodged the support. I'm switching to another brand of gold silk PLA I have in hopes that its better but I don't have high hopes.
