Description

This model replaces the dashboard inset on a Dodge Ram 1500. It is used to either hold a phone or pair of sunglasses or whatever you'd like to stay on your dash.

To install remove the rubber bottom and two screws. Replace with this model and attach using the screws that you just removed.

Since this is going into a car I suggest using PETG however I used PLA in these images.

Printed in PLA, but it broke when I screwed the screws in... my fault from over tightening it. I'm reprinting in PLA-CF and will post a photo once completed and installed. Thanks!

Mine is in PLA as well. I am curious how PLA-CF goes. My worry now is with the heat of a summer day causing issues on the dash with PLA

Good point to consider. I live out in the PNW, so not really hot out here... There are a few days we get into the 90s, but generally rare. I forgot to upload that photo so here it is. Today was a hot day of 86... Had no issues... Guess if it does have issues I'll let you know. I may try to make my own rendition have snaps added the could hold an otterbox case in place. I'm still fairly new in this 3d printing world. Been having lots of fun though!
