Description

Model:

Crazy desk marble fidget toy! This took way too long to design and prototype, I hope it shows!

Printing:

Use provided print profiles for best results! I've tested sizes down to 35% which have still worked, but I'm only including the 100% and 50% versions as print profiles. If you want the 35% or 75% feel free to scale the print profile, or download the included STL:s.

Print profile which is full sized is actually scaled to 98% of the original model so it can fit A1 mini plate. full sized ball is also scaled to 98%. Either way this model works with pretty much any scaling (down to 35%)! Just add the same scale to the ball and model and you should be golden!

Print does not require any supports or assembly. Works straight out the bed!

!IMPORTANT!

The ball needs to be cleaned after printing from all of the support residue. Use side cutters or a knife to get it round!

Hope you enjoy the model!

Prints fine but the overall functionality was a bit disappointing. I printed using the original profile settings and I feel like the force needed to get the marble to go up and around is a bit much. Seems to fail about as many times as it works. Super cool concept with tons of potential tho.

Thanks for the rating and feedback! Sorry to hear that. I might be able to give a few tips however. Try to release the "marble" as quickly as possible. Force needed is actually quite small. it's all about the release. With practise, you can get it to work in succession! You are also absolutely right. Model definetly dosen't work 100% time. One issue is the ball, which is not perfectly round and one issue is the launcher, because its not the same always. With these factors in mind, it's pretty much imphossible to design such a complex model with 100% reliability. Feedback taken into account and I really value people like you, thanks for that! I also have upcoming designs that are going to be awesome!

Also checking the picture, the ball seems a bit rough, try to get it smoother with a knife/side cutters, it will help!

Very good for relieving stress, cause you can just launch the ball and sometimes it’ll fly out but most of the time I will I just don’t use the right size marble

What is the diameter of the marble? Perhaps I have a suitable marble or ball bearing on hand.

Guys, NEVER use sup PLA to print this!!! I regret that I bought that material. But apart from that, this is great.
