Running dinosaur automaton

This is a dinosaur automaton!

I love dinosaurs, so I designed this automaton to mimic the motion of a running dinosaur. It took me a lot of time and many iterations to finalize this design, hoping it would move more like a real running creature.

This dinosaur automaton is powered by USB, making it easy to connect to a computer or other USB-powered device. You can also connect a speed controller to adjust the dinosaur's running speed as needed.

I love animals and industrial design. I hope this dinosaur automaton I designed can bring you some fun and surprises!

Suggestions:
1. When assembling, be sure to follow the steps in the instruction manual.
2. When printing the upper half of the dinosaur, try to minimize the internal fill to reduce the weight of the dinosaur. (Recommended less than 10%)
3. Color suggestions: Use brighter colors for the dinosaurs and darker, less saturated colors for the base to highlight the subject.

1. If no additional electrical appliances are needed, replace IA005 with IC001 + XC003.

2. LA008 includes a wire. When using XC003, the original connection wire is long enough, so remove IC005.

3. When speed regulation is not required, IA002 can be an optional component.

Hello, I am a player from mainland China. I have already assembled the machine, and the motor lights up white after being powered on. However, the speed controller does not respond when I try to adjust the motor speed.

Check if the screws on some connecting rods are overtightened. I usually check if the motors can rotate normally at each assembly stage, which can avoid this situation.

I encountered this situation because the screw was overtightened. I suggest removing the connecting rod and the dinosaur above and first check the motor rotation, then install the connecting rod mechanism for inspection. Finally, I personally encountered a drive problem because the screw on my foot was overtightened. I hope this helps you!

Where’d you buy all the parts? I’m new to this 3D printing world, and printed this not realizing i needed screws and other items.

nice model, motor power on the low side. Had to apply 6v dc for smooth motion (motor is rated 6v dc)
