If you have an original Prusa enclosure and want to use a Raspberry Pi 3/4 and the low-power Waveshare 5" IPS touch display with your MK3s+.
Important:
- Because the Waveshare 5" IPS display with the Pi mounted on the back is a little too tall to mount at a 45 degree angle to the enclosure, you need to raise the enclosure by 13 mm. You can do this with the double-height feet bracket, which is a remix of the original feet bracket.
- The Raspberry Pi display and touch input must be turned upside down. See attached PDF in "Files". I recommend for PI 4 not to use the DRM VC4 V3D driver, use "Method 2" to rotate the display and touch input.
Update August 06, 2023:
Added mounts in version 3 (V3): These mounts are at the top part now 12 mm think instead of 8 mm. They have the same dimensions at the top part as the mounts for the MK3S LCD display.
You need the following parts:
- To attach the display with the Pi on the enclosure:
- 2x M3 x 6 mm Allen screw for V2 with 8 mm thick mounts or 2x M3 x 10 mm Allen screw for V3 with 12 mm thick mounts
- 2x M3 square nut
- To attach the mounts on the Waveshare display
- 4x M2.5 x 8 mm Allen screw
- Waveshare 5" IPS Display (SKU: 21973)
- A Raspberry Pi 3/4
- Depending on your Pi: an angled USB adapter for the official power supply
The model is created with FreeCAD.
