This optimized support foot mechanism is ideally tailored for compatibility with both the classic IKEA Skadis pegboards and those created from custom 3D-printed designs. It features a 20mm model designed to integrate flawlessly with the original mounting system, alongside a more compact, 10mm variant for additional versatility. Typically positioned at the bottom of the pegboard (unless it is mounted to a wall), these support feet play a crucial role in preventing any unwanted tilting, ensuring your setup remains stable and secure.
For optimal results, it's important to let the components naturally cool down after printing before attempting to remove them from the build plate. Hastily detaching them can lead to warping or other forms of deformation, compromising the fit and functionality. The design cleverly consists of a two-part assembly that securely joins via friction. Simply align and press both parts together with the pegboard sandwiched in between. Disassembly is just as straightforward, thanks to the precision-engineered tolerances that are snug yet forgiving, allowing for easy adjustments or removal when needed.
