Description

For those who need a little more variety in their carrot garden, I decided to expand on it to make a full fidget garden 🌽🥦🍅 I have included the small (collapsible/expanding) carrot and added a rotating radish (spinning top), a bouncy broccoli, a corn on the cob fidget (with rotating rows of corn) and two different dirt beds + planter boxes (long or square) options.

Small Carrot

3D PRINTING SETTINGS

Layer Height 0.2mm

PLA works great

15% Infill

Plate #1: Small Carrot (two colors)

Note: I recommend printing carrots on a smooth print plate (can use glue stick/hair spray to help with first layer adhesion if necessary).

Also to cut down on purge waste but still get a multicolor print you can pause the print at layer height 31.0 mm (layer 155) to change out the filament color.

Rotating Radish

3D PRINTING SETTINGS

Layer Height 0.2mm

PLA works great

Infill (this is important!):

Print the Radish Top and Peg with 15% infill

Print the Radish Bottom with 60-70% infill (this is important because it lowers the center of gravity and helps it spin better:)

Note: I recommend printing these pieces on a smooth print plate so the bottom of each piece is real smooth and fit together nicely.

Plate #1: Radish Top and peg (two colors)

Plate #2: Radish Bottom (two colors)

If you would like to print a multi-colored radish with less purge waste, you can do the following:

For Radish Top add a pause print at layer height 15.0 mm (or layer 75) to change the filament color

For Radish Bottom add a pause print at layer height 14.0 mm (or layer 70) to change the filament color

To assemble: insert the peg into the hole of the Radish Top and then the Radish Bottom connecting the two pieces together. You may also use superglue if necessary to secure the peg in place or the two halves of the radish together.

Bouncy Broccoli

3D PRINTING SETTINGS

Layer Height 0.2mm

PLA works great

15% Infill

Notes: I recommend printing broccoli pieces on a smooth print plate. Also, I turned on the fuzzy skin texture for the broccoli head to give it more texture.

Print Plate #1: Broccoli Head

Print Plate #2: Broccoli Stem

Assembly: Insert the top of the stem (spiral portion) into the base of the broccoli head. You can secure with a little superglue if needed:)

Corn on the Cob Fidget

3D PRINTING SETTINGS:

Layer Height 0.2mm

PLA works great

15% Infill

Note: I recommend using a brim on the ‘rod’ piece and using a smooth print plate for all the pieces.

Print Plate #1 includes: Corn rows 1-7 and rod (one color)

Print Plate #2 includes: Corn husk (one color)

To assemble: I placed a number on each row of corn. Place the rod into the hole of Corn Row #7 then slide on corn row #6, then corn row #5, etc. If needed you can a drop of superglue onto each end of the rod before placing it into the hole of row #7 and row #1 to secure it better.

Dirt Beds & Planter Boxes

3D PRINTING SETTINGS:

Layer Height 0.2mm

PLA works great

15% Infill

Print Plate #1: Long Bed of Dirt (one color)

Print Plate #2: Long Planter Box (one color)

Print Plate #3: Square Bed of Dirt (one color)

Print Plate #4: Square Planter Box (one color)

I added print profiles for an all corn (long) bed of dirt, an all broccoli (long) bed of dirt and an all radish (long) bed of dirt.  These will all fit into the 'Long Planter Box'.

My designs are free for personal and non-commercial use. If you would like to sell them for commercial use, send me a message and we can discuss the details:)

Thanks so much!

Have fun printing:)

Printed really well, my kid and I had a great time putting it together 🥰 Absolutely love this model. One thing I would really love is if there were several different ”dirt-plates” to separate the vegetables. so one for broccoli only, one for corn only, etc. just like the one for carrots so we could build this massive garden to play with. Thanks fo making and uploading this 🙏

I've added more dirt plates:) Their overall outside dimensions are all the same so they still fit in the long planter box

Do you have any more suggestions for printing the Carrot? I have done the Broccoli and Corn Cob (which look great), but three times in a row my carrot slides from its spot before the print can be completed. I have cleaned the print plate so I am unsure if the Carrot need support or if I need a different PLA

I would suggest using a thin layer of glue stick (and/or adding an outer brim) and slowing down the print. On the Bambu printers you can adjust the speed down to 50% (silent mode). I have found this helps me whenever I have any adhesion issues with this type of print:)
