Description

A spiderweb-themed cover for making your tissues spookier. Designed specifically for the Kleenex Upright box.

I wanted to submit this in time for the bathroom accessories contest, so I'm posting early despite still testing the print out.

I have 3 versions (all of which should be flipped upside down for printing on the flat top surface):

  1. Single piece print (intended for not needing supports).
  2. 2-part print with pegs ("exterior" needs supports)
  3. 2-part print without pegs ("exterior" needs supports)

The 2-part versions aren't optimized for 3D-printing, and definitely need significant supports for the exterior piece. It can be tricky to get right because there are a lot of overhangs, and the model is very thin.

For a similar way to “reskin” your value-sized CeraVe lotion bottle, check out my other design here!

Edit 4/7/2024:
I've printed out the model now and uploaded a print profile. Came out great in my opinion! I printed in one color, but I've included a painted version in case you want to use 2 colors with AMS (it will generate a lot of waste though. Instead, I recommend filling the gaps with a thin layer of something like paint or nail polish. I'm finalizing some inserts to make this printable too. I've added the top panel inserts, but I'm working out the sizing for the side panels still. See photos below.
