Description

I found myself comfortable using soap bars lately, even solid shampoos, and I thought that it would be better to have a place to put my soaps near my sink and that even my shower organizer wasn’t fit to support them.

So I started working on this project with the idea of having one design that could be adapted for both my sink and my shower. While I was there I realized it could be useful to add even a case for my travel, and this 3 in 1 design was born.

The grid with an hexagonal pattern on which you can put the soap bar is compatible with both the case and the shower support.

The case is composed by a base on which the grid can be applied, by a cover and by a band to seal it.

The base is made in a way that lets the water gather in it from the soap, allowing the surface on which it’s located to remain dry.

The cover serves to close the case and has the sign “soap” engraved in it.

The band, designed to be flexible, seals the case fitting into place with the grooves that are on the cover and the base as well. In this way it’s practical for travels preventing the coming out of the soap bar in your baggages. It can also add a nice color touch if you print it in a different color than the rest of the case.

The shower support is designed to be wedged in the grid’s pattern and it needs to be placed on a shower organizer or on a shower glass.

You can print a single part or more of them according to your needs.

Suggested print settings:

2 wall

15% infill

and see the print profile for more details

I printed in PLA, I don’t know how it will handle long term usage in the bathroom environment, but it can surely be printed in some more resistant material (PETG,…)
