Description

Big thanks to 3D Printbit for their original model - this is a remix of https://makerworld.com/en/models/68962?from=search#profileId-73176

I made this for two reasons. One, I don't really like the chutes where the poop has to travel to the side. Convenient in some ways, but I found heated PLA would get stuck in the chute at times. Two, I liked the idea of a bucket, but all of the models I found were attached at the screw and meant to be reattached at the screw. For me, my machine isn't so easy to get to the back, so I wanted something that was easier to remove when I needed to empty the bucket, rather than fitting it over the screw.

Therefore I designed this as a two piece, with a tray that attaches to the back of the machine, and then a bucket that sits inside of the tray. No magnets or any special hardware needed, easy to remove, and works great. Lots of volume too for those extra big poops.

This would have been perfect if I didn't break it before even taking off the plate. Gluing it now 🫣 Other than that - love the concept. thanks!

Oh no! Well I guess at least it doesn't lose any functionality that way. I might need to make the walls thicker. Thank you for the comment!

Boosted because the printing issues were likely more my fault and this the bucket works well!

Oh wow, thank you so much for the boost!! That's really kind of you, I'm grateful! Were you able to sort out how to print it with ASA? If you were, feel free to upload the profile as it might benefit others printing that material too.

Replying to @jeffluenza :
I didn't change anything, the warping and slight cracking didn't really impact the functionality so I just used it as is.

I printed this in ASA and there was some warping in the walls of the bucket and general strength issues (heard some cracks when installing/using).

Wish I could help you with this - I printed it in PLA without any issue.

great fitment, love how cheap, filament wise, this guy was. I'm still newer with printing, so I haven't wanted to fool with magnets; but I also didn't want a 800g freestanding chute...this guy fit the bill. Bambu Labs silver metallic PLA came out perfect fit and finish

This is great! However, it sticks out a fair bit, which makes it slightly impractical for me, might have to make a slim version. Otherwise, I love the idea of a removable poop chute!
