Description

My pets need to eat a little slower, but there is no slow feeder accessory available for my Petlibro Granary feeder. So I bought the District 70 Bamboo Cat Slow Feeder and designed a holder around it. It slots into the base of the feeder just like the original bowl. You can easily take the “District 70 slow feeder” out and replace it with a clean one while you shove the dirty one in the dishwasher (I would recommend giving your cat a clean bowl every day).

For food safety I coated the entire holder with food safe epoxy, but this is probably not necessary since the actual slow feeder is a commercial pet safe product.

The kibble I use tends to not distribute evenly in the slow feeder which is expected, but this might become a problem if the portions that you feed your cat are rather large. I give my cats about 10 grams of kibble per feeding which does not cause any issues.

I've also made a v9 of this holder with raised walls. This prevents two cats from trying to use the same feeder (one of my cats is dumb and does not realize that she needs to use her own feeder). But I do not recommend using this version if you don't need it. The raised walls probably irritate your cat's whiskers (whisker fatigue).
