Description

Summary

got a kp3s over the past week for $50 as a parts only printers but looks to be new only missing the t8x8 lead screw, had a spar on hand that i could use to test the machine an got it all setup an going but ran into a issue with the spool mount, i was trying to use one that i had printed yrs ago for my kingroon kp3 but dont use the spool holder on it anymore so picking up the kp3s an where i put it i thought it would be perfect expect for the fact it was blocking one of my screens for my desktop computer so i decided to make a mount that would hold a 2040 extrusion on the wall at a 45 degree angle so i could still use the spool holder an just mount it to the wall instead of on top of the printer an it worked out with just enough room for it all to work an be able to change filament an move the screen around. i get most ppl probably will not want to use a real aluminum extrusion an i didnt either so i included a file with a 45 degree cut added to it but this is not what i used, i had printed some 2040 extrusions out yrs ago an i took one of those an cut a 45 degree on the end an that is what i used so i added a small test piece of the extrusion so u can print that and test how it fits b4 printing the full extrusions since ive not printed this file, i just added it for those who didnt want to use a aluminum extrusion cause i didnt so i figured there will be others that would rather print one too. so far its been on the wall for about a week mostly half used spools so i cant really say ive tested it with a full spool yet but ive made other brackets for 2020 extrusions that ive printed an ive hang quite a bit of weight on them, quite a few actually to the point ive had to replace the extrusions a few times from them failing an braking but it was alot more weight than a single 1kg spool of filament so i dont think there will be any issue with it being able to hold it especially with the 45 degree angle an 2040 extrustion. hope someone find its useful. u dont have to attach a filament spool holder on it u could use it in any way u want so if u come up with a good use for it share a make of how u put it to use.
