This is a variable wave machine.

By staggering the disks and using their holes at different distances from the center, you can generate any desired wave. For example, a normal sine wave for demonstration purposes... By turning the crank you can see how it behaves.

With most of my very different printers, the model can be assembled directly after printing and doesn't need to be reworked.
