Description

I modified the this model to make it printable: https://3d.si.edu/object/3d/fossil-whale-excavation-site-mpc-677:a4068a00-9712-4c8e-8948-a9e2ea27fe0a

From the Smithsonian 3D-Model archive.

I find archaology really interesting and amazing so I decided to print this model out of the gigantic library.

But before I could turn on the printer, I had to repair the original file and modify it to make it sutable. I removed all the overhangs, of course without changing the geometry to much.

If you decide to print the model, I recomment that you print at with the smallest possible layer high, to get as much detail as possible.

This is a great model to show in biology lessions at school.

I would love to see your make!
