Description

Dear All,

I enjoy and benefit from the community, so I would like to contribute to the community as well.

I have designed a holder for my heater blower that can blow directly onto the build plate like Stratasys printer.

I have a lot of warpage issues when printing ABS, especially printing a large part.

Maker World has some existing heater designs but most of them either need to self made electronic or blown toward the bottom, so I found one heater that has a strong blower, build-in thermometer control, and a maximum temperature that can heat up to 60c. (link below)

I have included STEP file, feel free to make any changes to the model according to your liking.

Remark: I am not sure is P1S same with X1C, so you may try.

Item needed:

  1. Printed Material ABS
  2. M3x6mm Button head screw https://amzn.to/3PPlUpj
  3. M3 Brass insert https://amzn.to/3VOoeB2
  4. Heater Blower https://amzn.to/3TP96kb

Enjoy Yah.

nice holder. fits the heater perfectly. You designed for X1C as you mentioned and asked for fit on P1S. I assumed the cases/frame of X1C would be same as my P1S. the exit flare was a little too close to the bed on my P1S, so I had to easily cut a bit off the end as the extruder was touching it slightly. I can't wait to use it on my next ASA print..... Thanks...!

Can you possible revise the project to reduce the flare to not hit the extruder? I am willing to test print

Sorry, not understand what you mean. but nevertheless you will be able to adjust the printing parameters according to your needs.

Any reason for the blower aperture on top? Seems as though it wouldn't disperse the heat evenly. I would think a lower under plate exit would be more uniform.

the design is trying to get stable temperature between top and bottom, in order to print ABS more consistently. previously I have a lot of warping and cracking when printing big ABS part.

Looks great! I recently got this heater for my resin printer but I don't seem to use it nearly as much as my X1C.. would love to swap it over. How do you wire/power the heater??

Mine came with the adapter, because I am not familiar with electrical, I prefer plug and play.

which riser do you use for the cable?

Hi, any riser will do, I just drill a 14mm hole at the side for the wire to pass through.
