Description

Broken plant pot design. Made to look broken and cracked, and the broken pieces are used to make different tiers.

This was inspired by similar designs I've seen using actual broken clay plant pots, but wanted to make one 3d printable. Scales easily and can be made for whatever size you'd like. No supports needed.

I also uploaded an uncracked version and several ‘crack’ models that can be used to customize the cracked look to your liking, right in Bambu Studio

How to add cracks to the model:

  • Assemble the object
    • Hold shift to select both objects.
    • Right click > Assemble

  • Select just the crack object in the objects view

  • Move, scale, and rotate the crack to where you'd like it on the planter

  • Remove the crack shape from the plant pot
    • Click on the plant pot object
    • Select ‘Mesh Boolean’ from the top toolbar, or press ‘B’
    • Select ‘Difference’
    • Click on the plant pot object for ‘Subtract from’
    • Click on the crack object for ‘Subtract with’
    • Check the ‘Delete input’ box so the crack object is removed, leaving the difference in the pot

Printed at 0.2mm layer height

Duramic3D PLA+ stone filament

No supports

Enjoy :)

None of the pieces fit the cracks in the pot!

Hi there. Do you mean that the 'crack' objects don't fit in the cracks in the plant pot? If so, they're not supposed to. I added them so they could be used with the 'Boolean' option in the slicer to customize the cracked look to your liking. The description has more details. Apologies for the confusion. And if you didn't want the plant pot to have any cracks, I included an uncracked model as well.
