i used to build and selling gaming computers at home for a side hustle i guess you could say but over the years ive ended up with quite a few loose hard drives that i use to keep my digital stuff backed up too an with the way i keep them laying out on my desk, i have lost a few from my cats knocking them off the desk on to the floor and a few to spills so i finally took the time to make a case that fits my desk so it can be put under monitor shelf so it just fits a little snug so it want slide around when i go to plug my usb to sata cable to one of the drives. it should work for anyone. this is just the 2.5 inch hdd case, the 3.5 inch pictured above is really the one i made to fit my desk cause most other was either to big or if they held 4 drives they would just slide to the back of my desk, so thats why i made mine with the weird spacing, i guess you could also say its for air flow for cooling but i only use one drive at a time an its never been an issue but i could see if all or multiple was being used then it would be necessary. im done rambling now, i hope this is useful for someone else an if anyone is interested in the one for the 3.5 inch drives let me know an i'll either add it to this or just upload it separately.
