3" and 3,5" in ASA 0,2mm x 6walls 30% Gyroid + Support = ca. 8h/print
I'm toying with the idea of having one of them printed in HP-PA or aluminum, but I'm a bit unsure whether the frame won't become too heavy with the SLS or SLM process due to the unmelted residues.. would it be possible to include the thickness of the materials in the model calculation?
If you print it in SLA Nylon (PA12) it is going to be very lightweight at 50g for the 3.5 inch (see the pictures below). However the aluminum is not a great choice because it would be slightly over 126g for the same design.
