Description

This mechanical tensioner is designed for tensioning the ropes of tents, etc. The tensioner including spring is fully printable. No additional parts are needed for assembly. The tensioner is not designed for high forces. I used a force gauge to measure the force the tensioner can hold. The tensioner can hold a load of 5 - 7 Kg.

Great design. I printed it in PLA and the spring seems a little to stiff. I may re-print the springs with PETG to see if it has a little more flex.

Works great, though in my case it was a bit difficult to assemble but that's due to my filament and unrelated to the model itself as the design is well thought out

It used lots of material, but very sturdy! Used it for camping last month, not disappointed.
