Description

Update: Added additional support to the flower stigma (long thin bits in middle of flower) after some suers were struggling to print them - hopefully will work better now

A 3D scanned real Lily - ready for 3d printing

Scanned a real world Lily with a revopoint Pop3, then repaired the scan and thickened it in meshmixer and then printed on my P1P.

Pictured print printed in bambu PLA - white

Print profile is printed at 0.12mm layer height, using organic tree supports. The stamen (the thin dangly bits that have the pollen in the centre of the lily) are particularly delicate so you need to be very careful when removing support

Hope people like it, and as always, any feedback welcome. If popular I may scan some more flower's and also redo the model to have a longer stem (potentially do it so the stem can be printed separately)

If you like this you might like to check out my other flower scan models here: https://makerworld.com/@james.h.s.brown/collections/1001900

hi there, sorry to hear that - do you have a photo or more details of how it failed? Was aware some A1 and A1mini were having some trouble with the central stigmas (long thin bits in the middle) due to bedslinger motion, but new profile should have fixed that In meantime - magnetdanny has uploaded a print profile without the central stigmas which is less challenging to print that you can try instead
