Description

Ender 6 BIQU H2 Mount

*Update* I have a newer more compact version which can be found here (https://www.printables.com/model/183254-35mm-stock-fan-biqu-h2-mount-wbltouch).

I was inspired by 3DPrintBeginner (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4822425) and their direct drive conversion of the Creality Ender 6 with the BIQU H2 compact extruder and hot end. However I also wanted to include a BLtouch and an ADXL345 accelerometer for input shaping. I wasn’t happy with the other BIQU H2 fan mounts for a 5015 24v fan and the one 3DPrintBeginner used ate up too much of the Y axis for my liking.

My goal was a compact, clean looking, all-in-on mount with minimal impact to build volume. Note the channel for the heater cartridge and thermistor wires requires that you mount the hot end as pictured with label facing the right (heater cartridge to the left and thermistor to the right) when looking at the front of the printer.

Pros

• Direct drive conversion

• BLtouch mount

• Accelerometer mount

• Compact and clean

• Good cable management

• Very rigid

• Makes room for the X axis end stop cable

Cons

• -20mm in Y axis build volume

• hangs too far forward IMHO

• tolerances are a little too tight

• unable to adjust BLtouch set screw

Supports: No

Additional hardware required (see front diagram above):

(yellow) 3 x M3x10 Attaching mount to X axis hot end mounting plate

(blue) 4 x M3x8 Securing the BIQU H2

(red) 1 x M3x16 Securing hot end fan to mount

1 x M3 hex nut Securing hot end fan to mount

Optional hardware:

2 x M3x6 Securing the accelerometer

To complete the direct drive conversion I used the following fan mount (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4908537) along with the duct from (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4682915) and a 24v 5015 blower fan. I also created a reverse Bowden mount to finish things off (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4908673).
