I love Zack Freedman's gridfinity, and I also love Gladiator's Gearwall/Geartrack system. This needed to happen!
The 1x6 base feels very secure with only two brackets on either side, but I have an extra T joint in the middle in case you feel the need to add extra support in the center. I also have a middle location on the brackets you can use if you plan to use very short bins, or just need the extra flexibility.
NOTE: The fit is intentionally fairly tight to get the base to slide all the way down in the bracket. I didn't want the base to wiggle at all when pulling Gridfinity bins out. If it's too tight, you can use the XY contour compensation adjustment to make it go in a little easier.
If you are using these in the garage, I'd recommend at least using PETG, ABS, or ASA if your garage get's warm in the summer like mine does.
I find bins that are the standard size 4 height (4x7mm) seem to fit well on the bottom row.
