I was asked to design a Christmas ornament candy dish. This is what I came up with. It came out way better than I ever thought it would have. It prints very well even without supports!
I am even filling them with candy canes and other candies to give out as gifts and people love them.
Print Settings:
- ORNAMENT - .8mm nozzle at .4mm layer height (this works great with .4mm nozzle and .2mm layer height but takes MUCH longer)
- CROWN, CLIP and HOOK - .4mm nozzle at .2mm layer height
- 15% Infill
- Prints great with PLA and PETG
- No supports needed
Assemble:
- Put the crown on first
- Squeeze the clip together and put it through the holes of the crown.
- Then snap the small part of the hook onto the clip thats in the crown.
Tips:
- Here is a link to a video on how to put the clip in the crown. https://1drv.ms/v/s!AuVsbZlU2wLMg7d7vGVq-2VpQSZ_vA
- If the clip breaks, then print it last and take it right off the print bed as soon as it finishes and squeeze it or you can use a heat gun.
Thank you to @Dadof6 for this video showing them being printed: https://www.instagram.com/p/CXKngN9FMS8/
