Description

This is the case for a simple 4-way pass-through junction box useful when managing cable routing under your guitar or bass pedalboard.

The case has 4 holes (one in each corner) that are sized for a M3x8x5mm heat-set knurled insert like these (they can be found on Amazon as well). You could make the holes smaller and have the M3x10 (or M3x8) screw cut it's own threads. Since this is held onto my board using 3M Dual Lock on the top, I wanted the extra support of the inserts.

The top has 4 countersunk screw holes for flat head countersunk M3 screws. There is a slight chamfer to the top that to help with the print tolerances. On my P1S it prints and fits snuggly but fully.

You will need to provide:

  • 4x M3x8x5 knurled inserts
  • 4x M3x10 (or M3x8) machine screws with a flat head
  • 8x ¼" audio jack (e.g., guitar jack). I use GLS Audio 1/4" Jacks Female TS Mono Panel Mount Jack (find on Amazon)
  • 22AWG copper strand wire
  • Soldering supplies and know-how (it's very basic)

Optional:

- Copper shield tape to cover the inside for shielding against RF interference. Shielding is highly recommended if you plan to use this for actual gigs.
