Description

This is my multipurpose Star Citizen themed container with a hinged lid! Its baded on the 8 SCU container from the video game!
Very easy print!

The model consists of: 2 parts, container and lid

Tools needed: none

Additional parts needed: a little strip of filament for the hinge

Assembly instructions:

Place the lid on the container and insert some of the filament into the holes provided. The holes in the lid are slightly smaller than the filament (at least when I printed it) so it might require some pushing (or drilling) to get it working.

Recommended filament: PLA, colorize the container and the lid as you wish and play with the colors!

Hotend: 0,40mm

Print time: 1h 26min

Assembly time: 1 minute

Print instructions:

layer height 0,20mm
2 wall loops
top/bottom shells 4 layers
top/bottom shell thickness 0,80mm
sparse infill 10%
sparse infill pattern “grid”
Before printing:

Make sure your build plate is clean and apply some adhesive. Wash the build plate with oil free soap and wipe it off with some paper towels. For a good build plate adhesion, apply a thin, even coat of your preferred adhesive. I repeat the process every 5-6 prints.

Bad build plate adhesion is not related to the model.

Oh man! Can we get more of these? Would love multiple sizes and everything. Especially if they could actually be stacked

Thank you for your interest, I am currently working on a larger design, which should be compatible with the Gridfinity ecosystem. Also I'll try to update the current version to be stackable as well.
