Description

As it is, it holds 40 filament samples. If you want a smaller box, place it in your slicer with the latching part in the bed and cut it where needed. For 1 slide, the cut height is 7.60mm and 3.80mm for every slide requiered. For instance, a 10 slide box needs to be cut at 41.80mm (7.60 (1) + 9 * 3.80).

**It is designed to be printed with a 0.4mm nozzle. As spiral mode hollows the object, printing it with different size nozzles to the one it was disegned for, will affect the tolerances. Since they aren't tight, printing it with a 0.6 nozzle might work but I haven't tested it.

TL;DR - 0.6mm vase mode works - Box = 29 min 55 sec; 17.78g - Lid = 34 min 53 sec; 13.50g Printed on A1 Mini with eSUN Cold White, 0.6mm nozzle. Awesome. Didn't expect to be able to find this. I did not really like the rigidity of the original box, so I wanted to find something else. 40 slots feel like the container is too long for me to keep nearby, so I cut it down to 20. Luckily, this design is very easy to cut. As I'm typing this, I finished printing the box, and I'm currently printing the lid. Used 0.6mm nozzle, and I can say that the tolerance is perfect. Each slide has marginal wiggle room, but still technically can wiggle. The latching part of the box has "fused" to the main part, which is fine functionally I suppose. I'll add images and the print profile when I'm done. Thanks for the design, saves me the trouble of making one myself! Edit: I cut the lid at 80.8 and I felt that it was slightly shorter. Changed it to 81.6 for the profile upload. The latch is not very firm, which might be because of the 0.6mm tolerance. But for home storage, I think it's more than enough. If I'm throwing this into a backpack, I'd tie it up with some rubber bands. You probably don't want to do that anyway since vase mode is relatively thin and not so rigid/sturdy. In my second picture, I held the box up from the circle in the lid, to show that the latch is firm enough to stop it from sliding out by gravity. Wish I had transparent for the case! My white one looks so nice when it's open, and so lame when it's closed. Luckily I have enough variety of colours to make the image look less boring. I have many whites from testing different brands for something I'm selling. Don't judge my whites! xd
