Description

I made a magnet/keychain for each of the 3 Myogi NightKids (妙義ナイトキッズ) logos from Initial D (頭文字 D).

I also included files you can use to scale to your desired keychain size (if resizing either of the manga/legends versions, look for my “loop” file to add after resizing). I don't recommend going smaller than the ones I've provided though, unless you are using a 0.2mm nozzle!

The magnets I'm using are these 200x200x2mm ones. There are slots on the base of the magnet versions to fit 2 of these or similar magnets for a clean installation.

General Tips

  • You can get a much nicer finish by enabling ironing - which I haven't done in my photos or print profiles because it makes prototyping take longer (and you may need to tweak it yourself to get the best results).
  • The color swaps are based on layer, and have been set up already for you in the MakerWorld profiles I've provided. As such, if you decide to resize any of them models' z-values, you'll need to change the layer that you swap colors at.
  • You don't need an AMS, simply pausing the print and manually swapping works too!
  • For the most part, I'm using 0.24mm layer heights. However, the pinkish color of the Legends logo was achieved by enabling “Variable Layer Height” and adding a single 0.04mm layer of magenta over top of purple (both Bambu PLA Basic).

Printed on BambuLab P1S (0.4mm nozzle) on Textured PEI Plate with the following filaments:

Bambu PLA Matte (Black, White)

Bambu PLA Basic(White, yellow, purple, magenta)

Voxellab PLA Pro (Purple) - for dark purple seen in manga logo prints

Enjoy, and be mindful of the guardrail

(no, the width of the magnets is not a coincidence…)

Bonus:
I printed 2 other iterations of the manga logo as well, using different colors. The top ones features Bambu PLA Basic Blue / Yellow, while the middle one is using Bambu PLA Matte Dark Blue / Yellow. I personally like the one with voxellab purple best (as far as the colors I own).
