Description

This Bike Water Bottle Holder is a durable and lightweight holder. It has a simple design approach which maximizes its durability, while also being easy to install with M5 screws. This water bottle holder allows you to insert and remove the water bottle from the cage and should have a reasonable tension to hold it there. Updated to withstand greater load on the base (22lbs of force tested prior to failure).

I definitely suggest support on this model as well as, a minimum of 4 walls.

Printed in PETG, prints really well. Probably better suited for a road bike. I tested it this morning on single track, held up to about 4 miles of moderately rough trails. The bottom support broke quickly on some very technical rough trail. This is probably due to the material I used, I see people are using ABS. I may try reorienting the model and print on its "back" before trying ABS. Thanks for sharing this model!

Thanks for the info. Hold off on a new print, I'll post something in a few hours to help with that. My single track is rather fast and flowing with very little to trouble a heavy bottle. But I have some ideas.

Go ahead and give the updated cage a print. PETG or PLA, I expect this to hold up. Definitely my fault in the print profile caused the previous failure. Sorry. Updated cage has a base capable of withstanding 20 lbs. of force in PLA. Incidentally, I would expect Nylon (non-CF) to be the best material and PETG to be second best.
