This is a blank for a 2005 Lotus Elise headunit. I made this so I could delete the stereo but preserve the OEM look of the interior.

The curved outer perforated panel attaches to a flat inner plate by double sided tape. The flat plate attaches to a standard 1U (single din) bracket by a set of four standard headunit screws (2mm). The curved panel will fit snugly into place. The double sided tape is for extra security.

The OEM dash is made of plastic, with surface texture mimicking the appearance of perforated leather. I've tried to duplicate the look of the OEM perforation pattern as closely as possible.

Recommendations for the perforated panel:

Black PETG for heat resistance and a close match to the OEM color and shine.

0.12mm layer height or less. Larger layers will not resolve the perforated holes.

5-20% infill, depending on desired stiffness

Print with the channeled face as the base. This will give you the best surface finish. This requires a small amount of support material to be printed, but the marks it leaves will not be visible once installed.

Recommendations for the flat panel:

PETG or other heat resistant material.

Any layer height. Any infill.

In your CAD program of choice, alter the standoffs and screw hole sizes to suit your head unit bracket. I've designed it acording to a standard 1U bracket, but yours may be different.
