My Hestia Telescope uses a 3/8" 16 UNC Thread to mount to a tripod, but all of my tripods had a ¼" thread. So, I created a base plate with a 3/8" thread for my quick release tripod. It's a pretty basic tripod, so the sizing should be generally universal. Actual dimensions of the base are 46.5mm x 44.5mm. I tried a couple of different sizes before I found a nice snug, secure fit.

I printed mine in PETG so I wouldn't have to worry too much about the printed part snapping off into the receiving device.
