Description

This is a remix of the awesome work of CaseStudyno8. I've collected and put all the files you need, sorted, presupported and precolored on 11 plates in a single files. Some parts are precolored in how I've printed it, some reinforced for extra strength, cause they tend to break too easily. I've also added a optional variant, if you want the intact version of the lightsaber.

The connection between the Exposed Internals and the Mangled Grip is a little tricky. There is a small rectangle of raised sculpt on the Exposed Internals that lines up to a corresponding spot on the Mangled Grip, it's best to line those up and insert it at an angle.

I'll add pictures of my print tomorror. A display stand will be added in the future.

Did you paint the one in the photos? If not, can I ask what filament you used and how we can get the painted version of some parts. For example I can see some copper on the exposed end of the handle

Hello Jade, the lightsaber is painted, but just with some black to make it looked used. The 'base' of it is printed in colors. I've used the following filaments: - Sunlu PLA Silver - Sunlu PLA Copper - BambuLab PLA Iron Grey Metallic The file should contain all parts precolored :) If you have further questions, feel free to ask!

picture 6 seems to show what the parts come out like but picture 4 shows copper parts on the exposed handle. Is there a profile where these parts are painted with the colours shown in picture 4?

Ohhh! I didn't see that detail. It was a gift and my gf painted it, pardon :) You're absolutely right, picture 6 shows the true prints, pre-painted. Everything else you see is painted with some acryl paint. Just a line of copper added to the grip would be a huge filament waste and it would add a massive amount of time, cause each layer it would have to switch twice. I attached two pictures for reference. One is with 3 copper lines added like on the picture, other one pure black. If you still want it, let me know then I'll update the profile and add it :)

This printed great! I printed some parts in PETG, some in PLA and the bronze parts in PETG-CF because that's what I had in the right color. it really came out great. Amazing detail in this model. Really beautiful work.

Awesome design! Printed on the X1C with an AMS for the colors. I used Kingroon PETG Silver, Orange, Red, Green and Yellow. I used PLA-CF for the black parts, though I forget the brand. It's an old spool and I had run out of the King Roon Black PETG. I printed the Hilt in TPU to give it a nice non-slip feel. The stand is from Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5523125) printed in the Balck PLA-CF and Silver PETG

I printed the model at 50% and it came out great! Maybe I'll print it again in a larger size :D

quick question. with the part titled cal outer chamber, the part seems to have a slant on the bottom of the part, on the opposite side the little nub is on. is that intentional? I flipped over the part when printing so it didn't print on just one little nub at the bottom.

Yes, because that way you need way less filament, cause if you flip it around you will have the hollow room filled with filament and cleaning up will be very difficult. It prints first on the little nub and then support is adding stability to the print. I've printed it both ways and this was easier.
