Playing card games, we love it! But one down side, they come in cardboard boxes!
If you put them in a bag or suitcase, they will get damaged all over the place.
On a campsite humidity can be another issue.
Time to start OpenSCAD and do some work!
I made them fully customizable, up to any amount of packs in 1 box if you want, for multiple games or games with expansion packs, like Exploding Kittens!
Use the card_box.scad file, the others are there as examples. (Examples use the old code)
There is a bunch of variables which can be changed to get the expected result.
Cutout_facets=6; Number of sides used for the cut out, 6 gives a half hexagon, 25 or more e half circle.
2 lines to get text on the box. (or the three lines version)
Font, available fonts can be found under help > Font List in OpenScad.
Cutout, size in mm for the cutout to easy grab your deck.
Size of the cards (please, use +0.5mm extra)
Stacks, how many? . Every used stack should have the stack height in mm added to the array. And again, please add some extra 0.5mm to make sure it will slide in and out easier.
Wall thickness, 1.5 should be strong enough.
notch, that line under the cutout to make sure the cap won't fall off that easy.
And a cap margin, setting it to low and you can't play on your vacation because it gets stuck.
Please post your makes :)
Like the design? Buy me a coffee ;)
Updated the card_box.scad file to make the customizer working even better!
