Description

This is a model of the Helldivers 2 ship designed using the original game model, and keyed to perfection using 1.75 mm filament. It comes complete with a stand, if you want it ensuring the ship is displayed in all its democratic glory.

For enthusiasts looking to bring this model to life, Here are my recommended print settings to guarantee the best possible result. Please see the details below for the optimal print experience:

I've tailored the print settings for enthusiasts looking to bring this model to life to guarantee the best possible result. Please see the details below for the optimal print experience:

Print Settings:

  • Rafts: Doesn't Matter
  • Supports: YES (Important: I would use tree supports due to how many fine details are around this thing. Regular supports will almost definitely cause issues)
  • Resolution: Standard (or, if you got it, 0.01mm for crispier lines)
  • Infill: 15%
  • Filament Brand: I prefer Elegoo
  • Filament Material: PLA/PLA+

Special Instructions:

  • Tree Supports: I recommend using tree supports to ease removal and minimize post-processing work. The model has been designed to print pretty well with tree supports, reducing the chance of damage during support removal.
  • Interface: A light interface is advised to ensure the parts adhere to the supports without adhering too strongly, making them easier to remove.
  • Infill Consideration: If available, opt for a lightning infill pattern. This infill is preferable as it keeps the model light, ensuring it sits evenly and securely on the stand without compromising on strength.

Additional Notes:

  • Assembly: The ship model has been designed with keys for easy assembly post-printing. Use 1.75 mm filament pieces to join the parts.
  • Post-Processing: If the recommended print settings are used, minimal post-processing is needed. However, a light sanding can be performed to achieve an even smoother surface finish if desired.
  • Other Considerations: I would also recommend going into 3d Builder on Windows to add your SES ship name (add to Part One if you are using the split model)
I printed mine at 20% scale to fit on my shelf of interesting items. The full scale would be cool for a centerpiece of a room or a big shelf.
