Description

When I first met warping problem when printing large object, I was completely disappointed. Then I found few clips to fix metal plate on platform, but was not completely satisfied with comfort of their use and result. I decided to try the Bed Clamps from Blind Maker and they worked perfectly. However I completely don't like sharp corners. Thanks Blind Maker for providing source files, I made rounded version for myself and share it to you. For more details, please read original model description.

On pictures you can see gray clamps – they are original and white clamps – they are remixed.

There are two types of clamps: tall and short.

For tall clamp print “top” + “bottom tall” + “knob”,
for short clamp print “top” + “bottom short” + “knob”

Usually you need 2 long clamps and 3 short clamps.

 

What changed:

  • rounded corners
  • more space for screw head
  • requires printing with support because I don't like bridges

 

How it's printed:

  • Filament: PC
  • Quality : 0.1 mm
  • Support: yes

Additional materials:

  • 18mm M3 screws
  • 28mm M3 screws
  • M3 nuts

These work great. I was having issues with the build plate curling up at the corner during large prints. Great idea.

Did the trick, but I do think you should add to the description recommended locations. I caused a nozzle clash 1st time. Printed in ABS.

Printed mostly great, had no bed adhesion issues, slight issues with the top pieces printed it PETG

haven’t used yet. however it printed well and that’s what I am rating 🤣

i will not use this, the idea was god but print profile is not ready to print.

i use textured pey plate, the parts didn't stick to the plate. also in the print there are extra unnecessary pieces and 1 out of 4 print was lost. i think you should improve the first and last layers of print and potentially make something interlocking without metal screws

Terrific. If I had known about its existence earlier, it would have saved me a few failed prints due to warping of the buildplate.
