Description

Siphon Drawer Cutout Gate

The sink is already installed, but the new vanity cabinet with drawers doesn't fit underneath because the piping is in the way. Fortunately, there are saws, so a cutout is quickly made in the drawer, and now it fits. Now we have a new problem: a hole where everything placed in that drawer falls into. That's neither aesthetically pleasing nor practical.

Of course, there are other options, such as installing a different piping system, but who really thinks of that, especially in rental properties where everything must be reverted later? So, we opted for the cutout and lived with the hole for the time being.

After a while, though, I got annoyed with constantly having to fish things out from the bottom drawer, so I built a barrier to prevent items from falling out. It serves its purpose and is certainly more attractive than the unevenly cut hole that one of my friends made in this drawer.

Cutout:

Width: 80mm

Length: 120mm

Backboard: 12.5mm

Floor Plate: 5mm
