Have you tried a Hueforge print yet?
Hueforge allows you to paint with filament.
It's a pretty cool process and is worth looking into.
Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.24mm
Filaments Used:
Inland Black Transmission Distance: 2.4
Inland Gray Transmission Distance: 2.4
Inland Brown Transmission Distance: 2.4
Inland White Transmission Distance: 4.8
Swap Instructions:
Start with Black
At layer #6 (0.64mm) swap to Gray
At layer #9 (0.88mm) swap to Brown
At layer #11 (1.04mm) swap to White for the rest.
